Highlands Opera Lovers is the opera appreciation group in the Southern Highlands. HOL provides members with an annual programme of events to satisfy and enhance their interest in opera, and offers both enjoyment and value.

Six events are held each year, covering a wide range of opera-related topics. The bi-monthly talks and audio-visual presentations, together with occasional performances and masterclasses, are given by a variety of specialists and amateur enthusiasts.

Members are regularly advised by email of functions arranged by other organisations. Reminders are circulated of coming Royal Opera & Ballet screenings and other relevant films at the Empire Cinema in Bowral, and notice is given of kindred musical events being staged locally, regionally, and in Canberra and Sydney.

Membership of HOL is open to anyone with an interest in opera, whether new to the form or lifelong devotee. The all-inclusive annual membership fee is $70, and HOL currently has some 70 members.
